Wellycon 2023

Pandas take Wellington!

In June 2023, the Nate’s Game team headed up to the North Island for Wellycon, New Zealand’s biggest tabletop game event. Held at the Tākina Arts Centre and attracting thousands of visitors, some of whom came from as far away as Singapore, Wellycon was an amazing weekend full of games, game designers, the chance to playtest up and coming games, games, play to win games and did we mention games?

Despite some hiccups–one of the team missing the trip due to illness and another getting stuck in a lift at the hotel (long story), the weekend was a big success! We introduced BamBoom to an entirely new audience, gathered a ton of feedback, made some new friends and most importantly of all, played a lot of games.
